The fourth session of our one‑day workshop series marked an important milestone in our journey toward inclusive peace. Organized by Umbrella for the Needy in partnership with the East Africa Feminist Peace Network, this training centered on the global Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda.

With 24 participants, including staff, volunteers, women‑led organizations, and religious leaders, the workshop explored why women’s voices matter in peacebuilding and their vital roles in conflict prevention, recovery, and community resilience.

Key Focus Areas

* Protection: Safeguarding women and communities from violence and harm

* Prevention: Addressing root causes of conflict before escalation

* Participation: Ensuring women’s leadership and voices are central in peace processes

* Relief & Recovery: Supporting communities in healing and rebuilding after crisis

Next step

This session deepened collective understanding of the WPS pillars and reinforced the importance of women’s leadership in shaping sustainable peace. We extend heartfelt thanks to our participants, facilitator, and partner for making this workshop impactful.

Together, we continue advancing inclusive peace and empowerment. 💜
