Empowering Change Through Digital Storytelling

Introduction

In our commitment to social change, we recently launched two impactful social media campaigns focused on raising awareness about gender-based violence (GBV) and promoting peace building. Through storytelling, we aimed to connect with our audience and foster empathy.

Campaign Overview

​Over two weeks, we executed two 7-day campaigns on Facebook and TikTok. The first highlighted the experiences of women affected by GBV through authentic video and audio stories, bringing visibility to this critical issue. The second campaign emphasized peace building, featuring a video statement urging our community to advocate for harmony and understanding.

Community Engagement

 

To extend our outreach, we distributed printed brochures and flyers about GBV in schools and IDP (Internally Displaced Persons) centers, ensuring vital information reached those without digital access.

 

Empowering Local Voices

 

Our goals were to enhance our digital advocacy skills and effectively communicate issues related to GBV and peace building, empowering local communities to take action.

 

Conclusion

 

As we promote gender equity and peace, we remain dedicated to using digital storytelling as a powerful advocacy tool. By sharing experiences, we can inspire action and create lasting change.
