Dear Everyone,
We cannot stand by in silence as women in Tigray face unimaginable violence and suffering. The situation has escalated to a point where gender-based violence (GBV) has become pervasive, turning Tigray into a hell on earth for countless women. Every day, we hear reports of women being killed and subjected to horrific acts of rape and abuse.
As we raise our voices, let us remember the words of Audre Lorde: "I am unfree while every woman is not free." This powerful reminder compels us to act. We cannot stop being women and advocating for the rights and safety of our sisters. We are deeply concerned about the worsening situation in Tigray and the urgent need for justice.
Let us unite to be the voices for those who have been silenced. We must advocate fiercely for women's justice, demanding an end to this violence and accountability for those responsible. Together, we can shine a light on this crisis and call for action.
